Have you had an “ABL” attitude this week? No, I didn’t leave out the “e” in able, but if you are ABL, you will, indeed, be “able.”
Let me explain. Bloggers who are ABL have an attitude of “always be learning.” They’re not content with what they already know.
In my opinion, ABL bloggers tend to be happier and in many cases also make more money. Why? Because the more skills you have, the more marketable you are. And the more willing you are to learn, the more likely you are to please your blog readers, as well as others who may want to partner with you. It’s also satisfying to learn and grow.
The thing that got me thinking about this is a little conversation I had with my assistant, Sherlyn. She never shies away from the tough assignments I give her to figure something out that she’s never done before. I complimented her on that the other day, and here is her response:
She got that right!
Education Can Be Expensive – But it Doesn’t Have to Be
But here’s a frustration that I’ve had. Education can be expensive. And I’m not talking about just formal education. I’m talking about even online courses. It seems that they’re getting more and more and more expensive. And while the high cost of education can be worth it, I’ve learned that many times, less expensive options work just as well.
That’s why I’m delighted to share with you about my experience with Skillshare. I joined Skillshare a couple of months back when a friend of mine shared a link to one of her courses. There was a 99 cent trial going on, and with that trial, I would have access to ALL the courses.
I’ve loved being on Skillshare so much that I’ve not only become a premium member and taken numerous courses, I’ve also started teaching on Skillshare. As a teacher, I can give you that same deal my friend gave me – one month for $0.99 and if you decide to keep learning, it costs only $12/month or $8/month with an annual membership.
