I used to dread writing for my blog because I always thought that my writing wasn’t good enough. And you know what: I was right. I was capable of much better. But the only way that you can get better at something is through practice. So I did. And now I’ve overcome my fear of writing. So if you are in the same situation: just do it!

Rob, you make an excellent point here. We don’t get good at things by avoiding them. It’s the old, “practice makes perfect” idea. You are also right that just doing something helps us to overcome fear. I find that sometimes I procrastinate on doing things that I don’t have confidence in, and often when I actually sit down and do whatever it is, I find it really wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Amazing how much time and energy I wasted worrying about or avoiding whatever it was that could have much more productively been spent just doing it!

I appreciate you stopping by, Rob, and taking the time to leave a comment. I’d love it if it was just the first of many. 🙂
